Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
Marfina SAC ("we" or "the company") operates the mobile application Cuánto me queda (hereinafter, "the App"). This page explains what information the App handles, where it is stored and which third-party services are involved.
By using the App, you agree to the handling of information described in this policy.
2. Information the App Handles
2.1 Your financial data
The App works offline. All the information you enter is stored only on your device:
- Income, expenses and their categories and descriptions
- Debts: name, creditor, balance, installment, payment day and interest rate
- Scheduled recurring payments and income
- Preferences: country, currency, language, theme and reminder schedule
This information is not sent to our servers or to those of any third party, and we have no way of accessing it. The App does not ask for sign-up, email or phone number.
2.2 Technical and usage data
The following is collected automatically through the Google services described in section 4:
- Device advertising ID, model, operating system version, language and an approximate location derived from the IP address
- Usage events: screens visited and actions completed, for example that an expense was logged, a debt was added or a backup was sent, along with its type or category
- Configured country, currency and language
- Error reports: where in the App a failure occurred, with the device model and system version
This data never includes amounts, balances, debt names, creditors or descriptions of your transactions. We measure that an action happened, not its content.
3. Use of Information
Your financial data is used exclusively on your device to:
- Calculate how much you have left this month and how much you owe in total
- Show your spending by category and your debt load
- Schedule the due-date reminders you turn on
- Generate the monthly PDF report
- Create the backup file when you request it
Important: we do not share, sell or transfer your financial data to third parties, not even to the services in section 4, because it never leaves your device unless you share it yourself.
4. Third-Party Services
4.1 Google AdMob (advertising)
The App shows ads on some screens and a rewarded ad before downloading the backup file. AdMob uses the device's advertising ID to show ads and measure their performance, in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy. You can review how Google uses information from ads and reset or delete that ID from your Android device's privacy settings.
4.2 Firebase Analytics (app usage)
Records which features are used, so we know what to improve: for example, how many people complete the initial setup or get to log their first debt. Events indicate that an action happened and its type, never amounts or text you type.
4.3 Firebase Crashlytics (errors)
When the App crashes, it sends a technical report with the point where the error occurred, the device model and the system version, so we can fix it in the next version. It does not include your financial data.
Ads, analytics and error reports are only sent when the device is online. Offline, the App keeps all its features, except downloading the backup, which requires watching the ad.
5. Backup and Files You Share
When you choose "Send backup", the App generates a file with the .cmq extension containing your data and opens your phone's share menu. You decide where to send it, for example WhatsApp or your email. From that moment on, the file is subject to the policies of the service you choose.
The .cmq file can only be opened with the App, but it is not password-encrypted. Treat it as a private document and share it only with yourself or with people you trust. The same applies to the PDF reports you share.
6. Storage and Deletion
Data remains on your device until you delete it within the App, restore a backup that replaces it, clear the App's data from your phone's settings or uninstall it.
We do not make automatic cloud backups. If you change or lose your phone without having sent a backup, your data cannot be recovered.
7. Data Security
Because your data is stored on your device, its security depends on the phone's own protections. We recommend:
- Protecting your phone with a password, pattern or biometrics
- Keeping the operating system up to date
- Not leaving backup files in chats or folders shared with other people
8. App Permissions
- Notifications: to remind you of debt due dates, income and recurring payments. Only requested if you turn on reminders.
- Device startup: to reschedule reminders after the phone restarts.
- Internet: to load ads and send the usage and error reports described in section 4. The App works offline.
- Advertising ID: used by AdMob to show ads. You can reset or delete it from your device settings.
The App does not request access to contacts, precise location, camera, microphone, SMS or your bank accounts.
9. Children
The App is intended for adults who manage their own money. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page and update the "last updated" date.
